TERM 1 CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 2025-2026

WELCOME FROM THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY, CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES & SPORT

Introduction

I hope you have all enjoyed a restful summer break and return feeling refreshed and ready for the year ahead. We are excited to share with you the Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) programme for 2025326, which promises new opportunities, exciting developments, and a wide range of experiences for our pupils.

Lower Primary CCAs

This year brings an exciting development for our Lower Primary CCAs following the changes to the MOE curriculum. While these adjustments were mandatory, we believe they create a stronger experience for pupils, with parents and children now having greater choice across the provision. Year 1 and 2 Parents MUST apply for all CCAs via SOCS, whilst FS1 and FS2 should only do so if they wish to use the paid provision.

FS1 & FS2: Wednesday, 1:40–2:40pm

Year 1 & 2: Tuesday & Thursday, 3:15–4:15pm

Many of these activities also link with Upper Primary clubs, supporting smooth transition between sections.

Alongside our free provision4which continues to grow thanks to the generosity of staff who volunteer their time, including evenings and weekends, we are proud to offer an optional paid provision. This ensures pupils can access specialist expertise and niche activities that cannot always be delivered solely by our teaching staff. Paid provision complements our free programme rather than replacing it.

Club Links Programme

We are delighted to introduce our new Club Links Programme, strengthening our sports provision. We have official partnerships in our priority sports: PASS Football Academy (Football), Sunfire Sports (Rugby), Capital Netball (Netball), Knights Basketball (Basketball), Athletics Academy (Athletics), Storm (Swimming), and Tahadi Performance (Athletic Development). These partners will both support our free provision and offer bespoke paid sessions, ensuring quality coaching at every level.

Paid Provision

Tahadi Athletic Development Programme

WELCOME FROM THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY, CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES & SPORT

The Tahadi Athletic Development Programme offers a second daily slot from 4:30–5:15pm in our new world-class Youth Athletic Development Centre (Fitness Floor 2, Gate 5). These sessions are tailored for competitive sports players and focus on building the long-term athletic qualities that underpin sporting and personal success. The programme runs across the week for different age groups:

Monday: U13 (Years 7–8)

Tuesday: U15–U19 (Years 10–13)

Wednesday: U9 (Years 3–4)

Thursday: U11 (Years 5–6)

In addition, Tahadi runs a daily 3:15–4:15pm programme during the first CCA slot, open to all pupils. For a preview of their work, families can view Tahadi’s Instagram (link provided).

SOCS

All CCA sign-ups must be completed through SOCS. Please follow the step-by-step parent guides and videos provided on page 64-68. If you have any questions after reading through the instructions, please contact us.

Parent Survey

Thank you to those who completed the parent survey in June and July. Your feedback highlighted outstanding opportunities, diversity, and accessibility as strengths. In response, we have expanded recreational swimming and clarified the role of paid provision.

CCA Bus Service

The CCA bus service remains a completely complimentary provision from our partners at BBT. While new restrictions beyond our control have impacted availability, further details will be shared with affected families. This bespoke service is unique and provided under strict legislation.

Final Words

We look forward to another exciting term of enjoyment, exploration, and learning for all pupils. Thank you for your continued support.

Offer numerous benefits for the children. It can help them develop physical fitness, promote a positive mindset and build social skills by interacting with their peers and across peer groups. Regular exercise can boost their mood, increase energy levels and improve overall well-being. Additionally, participating in a group setting can foster a sense of community and teamwork. This CCA will foster their independence and leadership skills as they can assess their own ability and set individual targets - we will support the children in acquiring the skill set to set and achieve goals. As this is a holistic and non-competitive approach to fitness, we strive to offer students choice in terms of ability of the group they are in. This will be a dynamic process where they move between the groups.

Through regular rehearsals, pupils will not only develop their vocal ability but also learn how to perform confidently as part of a group. CCA BUS SERVICE: REGISTERED BUS USERS ONLY

CCA Bus Service

We are delighted to confirm that the CCA bus will continue for the 2025–26 academic year. The service will begin on 15th September, and pupils’ places in CCAs will not be affected if they are unable to attend during Week 1 while the bus lists are being finalised. Accuracy is essential, and BBT requires time to collate the lists.

Registration: Registration for the Term 1 CCA bus service will open following the release of CCA allocations. BBT will email parents with the registration link.

Deadline: Registration closes on Friday 12th September 2025.

Service Start Date: The CCA bus service will commence from Monday 15th September, for registered pupils only.

Changes or New Registrations:

Requests must be made at least two days in advance of the desired start or change date. Unregistered pupils will not be permitted to board the CCA bus.

Important Changes:

Due to updated ITC legislation, the 8near drop-off9 option is no longer available. As a result, the CCA bus schedule will change, and only buses able to return to school by 4:15pm following the 3:00pm service will operate.

This service remains complimentary, provided by our partners at BBT at no cost to families, and very few schools are able to offer such provision. Please be aware that, as this service is dependent on legislation, it could be withdrawn in the future.

Please note: The CCA bus is only available to existing, registered bus users in Years 1–13. Pupils in FS1–2 are not eligible, as their CCAs take place during the school day.
