URBAN TECTONIC STRATIFICATIONS:
Urban layers between underground and elevated elements.Treviso, Italy.
A large-scale reasoning was developed on the part of the city around the railway station, whose urban planning and landscape problems concerned the need to reconnect the district south of the station with the historic centre; the redefinition on a planivolumetric level of the buildings and open spaces located within the area of the San Marco Bastion. Then the paradigmatic figures of contemporary city architecture were addressed, which develop from the progressive accentuation of the basement element with respect to the elevated element, to the extreme distinction of two different urban layers, a plate/podium and a large autonomous elevation, often elevated and out of scale with respect to the immediate context.

GUTURA URWEGA, THE COMPOUND AS A FORM OF LIVING:
Towards another urban landscape in Africa. Kigali, Murama, Ruanda.
The project pays attention to technological and construction aspects, economic and energy resources, and the social context. In particular, an attempt was made to design the compound with an appropriate environmental insertion, where factors such as orientation, the relationship between solids and voids, internal distribution, etc., are declined according to the climatic characteristics of the site. Subsequently, an attempt was made to combine the architectural design with the exploitation of renewable energy sources, integrated into the building and used from the resources actually available on site. Finally, special attention was paid to the choice of raw materials and products with a reduced environmental impact such as bio-brick.

THE SUSTAINABLE PROJECT FOR THE CITY:
Sustainable transformation of a slum city. Santo Tomàs, La Pintana, Chile.
The project aims to increase private space for residents: the goal is to ensure greater security in the neighbourhood, eliminating as far as possible public space, currently a meeting place for drug dealing. Similarly, efforts were made to make the neighbourhood sustainable in terms of transport and materials used. In the Transport module, a project was developed to intervene in the links between infrastructure and the local context, in particular the urban environment, using new transport technologies, automated transport networks and the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to optimise forms of mobility, ensuring accessibility and minimising the use and costs of private motorised transport.
