And yes no special eyeglasses needed.A stereogram can be seen only when you look at it with intentionally unfocused eyes which means in a slightly different way compared to how we normally view things. If you look at a stereogram in a normal way you will see only the patterns but by shifting the focus of your eyes you will see the D image emerging at a certain point.Some viewers may be more comfortable using the parallel technique while others may prefer cross eyed viewing.

Because of this each image in this book is presented in both views (first parallel second x view).
