THE ARTS IN EDUCATION: Several studies have proven that the ARTS are key to education and academic success.

THE ARTS IN EDUCATION When introducing the iPad 2 in March, Jobs summarized his strategy this way: “It is in Apple’s DNA that technology alone is not enough—it’s technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields us the results that make our heart sing.” But what set all of Job’s companies apart, from Pixar to NeXT to Apple, was, indeed, an insistence that computer scientists must work together with artists and designers—that the best ideas emerge from the intersection of technology and the humanities. In the fall of 2017, a state of the art building will welcome the community to the AST campus. A two level structure with a modern design will be home to a performing arts – auditorium that will seat 408, with an inviting and contemporary lobby, and four educationally equipped music classrooms. This building will be witness to the growing academic success of our ARTS PROGRAM – band, choir, and the performing and fine arts.

A top of the line acoustic appropriate building, will add to the audio system that will further enhance our students voices, comfortable seating, a motorized frontal drapes to aid in Musical and Drama productions , professional lighting, air conditioning and an acoustic stage – which will allow for perfect sound transmission of our band, choir, drama, etc.

Private access from the school’s SOUTH PARKING BUILDING TOWER (350 vehicles) The Performing Art Center will be the perfect venue for AST concerts, plays, musicals, guest speakers, inaugural ceremonies, forums, and many more cultural and educational events. Donors in the Superintendent’s Circle will also be able to use the center for their activities (without conflicting with school related performances).
