Friendship Assembly (PS) Pre-School celebrated the month of ‘‘Love & Friendship’’ with an Assembly hosted by several 4th graders. During the Assembly the little eagles learned about love, being kind, and being a good friend.

Valentine’s Day Assembly (MS) Middle School had their monthly assembly, and love & friendship were the major topics. They watched videos on being kind and stopping bullying.

Kudos to our Middle School for being ‘‘hands on’’ when it comes to ‘‘being kind’’!

Mexican Festival 11th Grade (HS) Train Your Dragon 3.

11th graders organized a Mexican Festival as part of the Spanish and History classes It was an incredible morning for our students! cross-curricular activity: analyzing Pedro PĂĄramo in Spanish class and learning about the Mexican Revolution in History class. Students and teachers sang, danced and enjoyed delicious Mexican food!

Mr. Emmanuel JaĂŠn (Spanish), Ms. Merny Chirinos (Spanish), and Mr. Malcolm Lamprecht (History) guided the students throughout the organization of this educational activity.

Catholic College Fair (HS) High School counselors Ms. Yolanda Aviles and Ms. Marisabel Figueroa hosted the Catholic College Fair which included nine universities from the National Catholic College Admission Association. Our 11th and 12th graders visited the different stands and learned about the offers available.

Thank you counselors for providing these wonderful opportunities to our students on campus.

Thank you to Benedictine College, Emmanuel College, Loyola University New Orleans, Marymount University, Our Lady of the Lake University, Saint Anselm College, Saint Louis University, Saint Mary’s College, and Saint Mary’s University for their visit to AST.

STUCO Presidents’ Day (MS & HS) Student Council organized and led an amazing President’s Day Assembly and lunch which included delicious food, keynote guest speaker, Erin Tuhler (Public Affairs Officer US Embassy), and a flag football game between students and teachers, in which the teachers were the Champions.

ABSH Knowledge Ball Tournament Congratulations to our MS Knowledge Bowl Club for finishing in Second (Team B) and Fourth place (Team A) in the ABSH Knowledge Bowl at Academia Los Pinares.

Congratulations also to our HS Knowledge Bowl teams for their great participation in the tournament. Thank you to advisors Ms. Carol Martinez, Ms. Mackenzi Borja, Mr. Juan Carlos Aguilar, and Ms. Jackie Turcios for their hard work!

Eagle Cup All-Star Game

Eagle Cup played their Basketball All-Star Game last Friday. They had different competitions like three-pointers, one on one match, among others. Our students demonstrated great sportsmanship and it was so much fun.

‘‘Latinos En Acción’’ Operation Smile, Paraguay The Operation Smile Youth Club went to Paraguay to be part of the Programa Latinoamericano de Liderazgo Estudiantil, and participate in the VI Regional Conference LEA (Latinoamérica en Acción).

In these conferences, our students learned how to be leaders and how to make an impact in their community.

Alumni Corner Antonella Balletta (2016) Alumna Antonella Balleta is a Makeup artist that is starting and innovating the fashion world. With only 2 and a half years being Alumna, Antonella is pursuing her dreams as a Makeup artist and popular blogger. She is currently studying Communications and Advertisement at UNITEC and at the same time, she is a few months away from opening her Makeup studio.
