Kinder Literacy Night Kinder parents received a lecture from their children’s teachers about what they are reading and studying in class. They asked a lot of questions and got to know the teachers better!

Pre-School Donation to Fundaciรณn Abrigo

Pre-School had a fundraising activity all the month of October collecting corn flour to donate to Fundaciรณn Abrigo. They gathered 1,666 lb which will be used to feed more than 4,500 people monthly.

Honor Choir Benefit Dinner Our Honor Choir (ES, MS & HS), had a marvelous concert followed by a Benefit Dinner to raise money so they can assist to their musical events.

Tuesday night was filled with Incredible music, food (catered by our Dining Hall), and ambience.

4th Grade US Government Talk Mrs. Elizabeth Bailey talked to our students about her very exciting job as a state department employee. She explained how the branches of government work together and how the American Government works with our Honduran Government. Children in fourth grade, who are learning all about government in Social Studies class, were very impressed with her presentation and asked really good questions to our guest!

Mrs. Elizabeth Bailey works at the American Embassy representing the USA Executive Branch in Honduras. She is also mother of one of our eagles!

Vaping Talk to High School with Dr. Fulton High School students received a lecture on ‘‘Vaping’’ and how it damages to the body and brain in our Performing Arts Center. Dr. Fulton, who has extensive knowledge on this topic, answered some questions made by our HS students.

Special thanks to Dr. James Fulton (Head Doctor of the US Embassy) for his time and for sharing his knowledge to our students.

We thank also, Mr. Daniel Dobbe (IB Diploma Coordinator and Student Services Director) for organizing this event.

DECA Talk with Alexandra de Kafie DECA Club had Alexandra de Kafie come talk about Entrepreneurship Skills in Teens, and Money Management Tips.

Great initiative by DECA!

Athletic Motivational Talk Coaches and athletes received a Motivational Talk before leaving to San Pedro Sula to represent our school in the Basketball ABSH Tournament. GO EAGLES!! ‘‘There are no limits to what you can accomplish, except the limits you place on your own thinking’’ – Brian Tracy

ABSH Basketball Tournament Our Eagles made an outstanding job in the ABSH Basketball Tournament.

All our teams made it to the semi-finals, and three of our six teams won FIRST PLACE! We congratulate all our athletes, and coaches for their hard work in this tournament and through all the season. Go Eagles!

AASCA Knowledge Bowl Our Varsity Knowledge Bowl team went to El Salvador to represent our School in the AASCA Knowledge Bowl Tournament. Our Eagles did an outstanding job!!

Alumni Corner Roberto Gil Mora (’03) Alumnus Roberto Gil Mora is a renowned architect that is using his great building and construction skills around the world.

Roberto graduated in the Universidad Americana in Managua, Nicaragua, and has a Tri Continental Masters in Advanced Architecture and Design by the Universidad Europea in Madrid. He has collaborated with Tongji Architectural Design (Group) Co. Ltd, (TJAD) in Shanghai, which is one of the leader groups of design in China. He also worked as guest architect in the New School of Architecture and Design in San Diego, C.A. Roberto just won First Place in CEMEX Building Awards in the category of EdificaciĂłn with the building La Oruga (CIM) in Nicaragua, and he was finalist in the International Edition.
