Sarawak

Sarawak's Gateway Cities - The land of the Hornbills! Sarawak is the largest of Malaysia’s 13 states and is located on the island of Borneo, the third largest island in the world, north of the Equator. Sarawak still maintains its reputation as the most exotic state in Malaysia as its rainforests are amongst the oldest in the world. It is home to many endangered animals such as the Orang Utans, Proboscis Monkeys and others.

Meet The Locals This state has the most diverse ethnic groups with a very distinct culture, language and lifestyle. A variety of religion with 45 different languages and dialects runs this town. In spite of these differences, the locals epitomise peace, harmony and unity.

Kuching,

the capital of Sarawak and the fourth largest city in Malaysia is simply unique. Despite that, Kuching is surprisingly clean, peaceful, and relaxed Like all towns and cities in Borneo, the focal point of Kuching and the reason for its existence is the river.

Hiring a sampan to meander slowly up and down the Sarawak. River is the best way to get your first impression of Kuching From the river you will see picturesque Malay villages (kampungs), a golden-domed mosque, a Victorian fort, a whole street of 19th century Chinese shophouses and an imposing wooden-roofed palace, all set against a background of distant mountains.

Our Friends Where the wild things are This place is for animal lovers  Orang Utan  Know as the “Man of the Forest”, the Orang Utan can be seen in Borneo and Sumatra

 Proboscis Monkey It derived its name from its large protruding nose. Find this monkey only on the Island of Borneo in Southeast Asia

 Saltwater Crocodile  “Bujang Senang” or the “Happy Bachelor” dwells widely in coastal swamps and rivers

 Silver Leaf Monkey  Do not be fooled by its punkish look. This shy primate lives on flowerand fruits and is one of the most attractive and common primates
