time passes slowly and quietly in the community at the centre of this semester-long project. it is a reality residents and visitors have accepted as the norm. in a similar expression, the heart of the architectural project forms around embracing the languid days and the people that are left.

the sloping terrain of the project site lends itself to a fluid flow of views and movement throughout and around the building. this language is translated into a smooth and seamless transition of drawings in the presentation of the design concept on the following page.

the final iteration of the reading garden on the left is a space that inspires leisure and respite. the landscape element of the drawing is highlighted through the intricate vector grass texture, derived from a simple colour image. the materials of the structure are conveyed through textures, whose opacity and contrast have been altered to blend the background of the original drawing.

abstract interpretations of flowering shrubs and bushes were hand-drawn to balance out the intensity of the existing textures. similarly, the human figures drawn are minimal in style but efficient in communicating the use of the spaces.

a entrepreneurship with an aim to disseminate investment information and advice, Stonkleton was founded by a young mind, for a young audience. its initial agenda was encouraging young adults to warm up to the idea of early and independent investment, within their individual means.

Stonkleton’s public identity was shaped by its very purpose to educate and inform, and this image was established with branding with the intention to convey assurance as well as competence. the posts launched on Instagram took advantage of the carousel scroll feature, leading viewers through digestible pocket lessons. the design theme was a balance between bold, contemporary trends, and a polished, professional style. the latter proved to be a key aspect as the middle-aged audience, which was slowly growing, began subscribing to the consistent content on Instagram.
