Amel Annual Activity Report 2012. Amel is a civil, non-pro t and non-sectarian association created in 1979 by Dr Kamel Mohanna and a group of physicians, intellectuals and journalists as a reaction to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1978 which ravaged the country. Its creation aimed to fight the deficiencies of the Lebanese society and provide an essential help to the most deprived.
