Difference Between Single Girder and Double Girder EOT Crane *****************************************************************************

The two main types of EOT Cranes are single girder and double girder EOT cranes. A crane manufacturer in India has designed these cranes that are visibly seen in their appearance. The main beams of these cranes are single and double as per the name. The lifting mechanism where a one or two hoist runs on the single beam to lift the load and double girder have two types of trolley QD and LH that run on the double girder.

Single girder EOT crane      

A type of EOT crane that consists of an electric hoist that travels to the lower flange of the girder without a rail for cross travelling. It has no platform for maintenance and two small platforms for the LT mechanism. There is no under bridge light in the single girder. Single girder cranes have the flange mounted on motors and gearbox for LT movements. These cranes can be operated through the remote but not by sitting inside the cabin. These cranes do not consist of electro-hydraulic thruster brakes, and they have disc brakes used in all motions.
