Bizarre dates, suspect purchases, a near reconciliation with the ex, then a singles ‘away weekend’ brings about a surprise meeting and maybe some hope. Starring as Angela is award-winning comedienne Dillie Keane, best known as a founding member of the comedy cabaret trio Fascinating Aida and for her role in Grumpy Old Women.

This triple bill of dance works by Phoenix’s Artistic Director, Olivier Award-winning Javier De Frutos, is on the theme of Body & Eros. Paseillo is the first stage of the ritual; Los Picadores is a violent, carnal approach to Stravinsky’s Les Noces; while Nopalitos represents a series of tableaux of life after death, inspired by the Mexican celebration Day of the Dead, where lovers and rivals meet for eternity.

Phoenix Dance Theatre have an international reputation for presenting inspiring, entertaining contemporary dance, performed by a formidable group of dancers handpicked from around the world.
Master choreographer Stephen Petronio is as famed for his collaborations as for the quality of his dance, and in two of the pieces to be performed in Glasgow (Bud Suite and Bloom) his partnership with musician Rufus Wainwright takes his work onto a new level. The final piece, Lareign, is set to The Strangler’s No More Heroes.
