Time out

‘I DEFY ANYBODY WHO SEES THIS PRODUCTION TO SAY THEY HAVE SEEN A BETTER ONE’ Following sell-out performances in 2008, one of the most loved and successful of all musicals makes a welcome return to The Bristol Hippodrome – the famous West End production of the legendary Evita. Featuring some of musical theatre’s all-time classics including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night Of A Thousand Stars, Oh What A Circus, You Must Love Me, and Another Suitcase In Another Hall, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s extraordinary musical Evita plays for one week only following an international tour. Bringing to life the dynamic, larger-than-life persona of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, Evita tells the story of her young and ambitious beginnings to the enormous wealth and power she gained and her ultimate rise to sainthood. With more than 20 major awards to its credit, including the Oscar-winning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, and featuring one of the most coveted roles in musical theatre, this brand new production of the smash hit show truly promises to be the theatrical event of the year!
