ABOUT AMANDA IS A LEFTY. She is also a: o Passionate tree advocate o Dog lover o Avid rookie sand collector I believe that design is a tool for creating a better understanding between people and products, thinking about our future world, and creating unobtrusive yet immersive experiences. I love designing around constraints, pushing my abilities to their outer edges and challenging my creativity.

As an avid believer in the power of human-centered design, I am fascinated by user interaction and people-based problem solving. I approach design empathetically and focus on understanding the latent needs and emotions of the people who I am designing for, aiming to create clear, impactful solutions to enrich their lives.

PROCESS Every project is going to be different, but this is the usual structure that I like to follow as best practices.

CONCEPT

Understand the client’s goals and Use the research and develop objectives of the project. Along 2-3 rough concepts. Then with developing mood boards review with the client to based off of the client’s vision. finalize a direction.

DESIGN

REVIEW

FINALIZE

The designing and production phase, where all the assets are developed or prototyped to be reviewed by the client.

Back and forth feedback with the client regarding design or copy changes before the finalization of the assets. Up to 2-3 versions of proofs.

Once the project is approved, all the assets will be finalized, files packaged up and sent off to the client. Continuing support is always an option.

If you are looking for a new website with a brand roll out, or need a refresher for your current website, I have experience working with custom website builders such as Webflow, and/or could provide design and set up sites, such as Shopify, SquareSpace or Wix.

With social media and branding it is always key to keep consistent engagement with your platforms. I provide guidance with developing a social media guideline, and creating content that is impactful and will help communicate the brand’s goals and services.

Collaborating together we’ll hone in on a concept that is both eyecatching and represents the brand’s value and purpose. I can provide services from logo design, to a full identity system, which entails typography styles, color palettes, brand elements, etc. Along with developing application rules to how the identity would live in a physical and digital environment.

From vector to raster illustration styles, I have the skills to produce a series of illustrations that have a very stand out and permanent use, such as book illustrations, packaging design, and poster art. I develop illustrations and iconography sets that would serve as visual communication for a brand.
