On Saturday, June 18, 2022 D13W, D13N, D13S joined together for a D13 Officer Training Conference at Somerset High School! At OTC, D13W members got a chance to meet others members from Division 13 North and South, watch presentations about leadership skills and various officer positions. We hope you had a fun time interacting with neighboring divisions and learning new skills you can take back to your home club! Thank you for coming
out and a BIG thanks to our sister divisions 13 North and South for joining us!

CLUB UPDATES CLUB UPDATES
Downtown Magnets
For the month of June, DMHS is currently discussing future events and fundraisers for the upcoming year. Due to the relocation of our school, we are planning to collaborate with our new school principal to discuss future events such as with ASB, other clubs that can potentially lead to our Key Clubs participants growth. Our cabinet has agreed to establish an MRC position as an addition to our cabinet, in order to establish an incentive for students to join our club. This upcoming Wednesday we our planning to meet with our advisor Gary Su, and Mr. Santo, to introduce the new cabinet, and our plans for the future. All cabinet members were also present during our last OTC event.
Gala
To wrap up the end of the school year, we asked members to bring compostable/cardboard containers to make seed starters to celebrate national pollinator month and promote key club. We also joined Friends of Ballona Wetlands, a non profit organization based in Playa Del Rey, on a creek cleanup, where we picked up trash littered on the banks of the wetlands. To finish up the month, we’re hoping to host a virtual service project, as many of our members are out of town. Additionally, we had the opportunity to introduce the new board to our sponsor Kiwanis Club! Lastly, some of our officers got to attend OTC!

This month of June our cabinet has been working on improving itself and creating a new and revitalized environment for our returning and new members next year. We were able to set up a booth for the school's freshmen orientation for the upcoming students and had the opportunity to bring interest towards the key club. Most of our active cabinet attended OTC and a few of our members also decided to attend. We are in the process of planning an upcoming board meeting where a lot of important decisions for the future of our club will be finalized and decided on.

Larchmont
For the month of June, new officers have been training and prepping for the new school year. We are currently planning to hold a boba fundraiser on June 30. We have created an agenda and promotion strategy we will use to maximize the amount of money we receive. We also plan to hold multiple board meetings to plan out the school year through summer.
Legacy
For the month of June, we held a pride event for our school. We had a lunch event for each of the schools on our campus. We actually had to hold the events on two separate days. We held VAPA’s and ISLC’s lunch events on the 3rd of June and STEAM’s Pride event on the 8th of June. We invited the Latino Equality Alliance to give students info on LGBTQ+ related topics, included interactive activities for the students (such as rock, nail, and body painting, bracelet making, and had them write what they know/want to know about pride on a sticky note) and gave out stuff to the students (pride flags, pins, stickers, flyers, and candy). Apart from that we held an end of the year social event at South Gate Park for our club! We are still brainstorming ideas for fundraisers, as well as volunteering events.
Lincoln
For the month of June, Lincoln has worked on strengthening the cabinet through attending training conferences such as the Super Smash Bros themed Officer Training Conference with D13. Our club has also been attending Division events and working on hosting more service events.

On Wednesday, June 8th, South Gate Key club members held their last school meeting for the 2021-2022 school year. To commemorate the end of the school year along with their last key club meeting of the semester, members and the board threw a popsicle bash with ice cream popsicles. Along with popsicles, members' service recognition took place that commended members with top hours ranging from 64 - 21 hours throughout the year. A recap of the “Shady Days" spirit day with D13W was also presented, along with the announcements of the DLT Spirit Team, and the Judging Committee application opening. At SGHS's last key club meeting of the semester, members enjoyed popsicles and celebrated their commitment and growth within the key club. All members and board look forward to future meetings and events!

LAST BOARD MEETING LAST BOARD MEETING
This month, Linda E. Marquez High School has been having a great start with our new board members officially taking over and running meetings. Although the school year has come to an end we did have a couple of events such as an in-service event as creating letters to students in Araullo High School in the Philippines, we wrote the words of encouragement and congratulated them on passing their finals. Another event that some of the members participated in was the Sports Bag Event in Salt Lake Park, this the event took place May 17-19 volunteers packed bags full of sport supplies and on the final day they participated in packing the bags in boxes and stacking them. One last thing we did was say our goodbye and showing our gratitude to the past board members with thank you letters and giving them a bag of treats.

On May 28st, 2022, new officers from D13W and D19 got the chance to go to UCLA to participate in a joint board training with 29 other board members from all of r*, crystal kiwins, and UCLA CKI. It gave new officers the opportunity to learn how to succeed in their roles and do their duties effectively. It was very informative and fun.

FUN FACTS
Hi D13W! My name is Jade Stashin, and I'm a rising senior attending GALA. This term, I proudly serve as GALA's president (alongside the most amazing board <3) and on DLT as the service projects coordinator. I first joined key club in the fall of my tenth-grade year, as I saw it as an opportunity to help out my community at the height of the pandemic. Even on Zoom, our division was extremely welcoming, and I look fondly back on the warm memories I made. Throughout these last couple of years, key club has helped me break out of my shell and be more outgoing. I've been able to meet so many people something I never would've had the courage to do alone. I'm honored to have been chosen as D13W's Member of the Month, and I am excited to see what the term has in store for us! (Also, this is OUR year at RTC and fall rally y'all. We got this!)
