OnMay21,2023,membersoftheCarthageKeyClubgatheredtoenhancetheappearanceof a nearbypark.Webeganbycollectingandseparatingtrashandrecyclablesinthearea,which tooklongerthananticipated.Afewdayslater,wereturnedtosearchforitemswithgraffiti and othervandalismmarksinthesportsfieldandactivityareas.Wemadeanefforttoremoveas muchaswecould.Finally,weconcludedtheeventbyreplantingthecommunitygarden created byanothergrouplastyear.Attheendofthegrowingseason,thefoodwillbedonatedtoour localfoodpantryandbackpackprogramatthehighschool.TheamazingworkoftheKey ClubbershasbrightenupthelookandfeelingofourlocalCarthagepark,becauseofthesize of theprojectwealsohadhelpinghandfromourHighSchoolsAPHumanGeographyclassand otherwhohadfreetimeontheirhands,intheendtheprojectwasahugesuccess!
