Altair Global was founded in 1989. Like so many other successful companies, Altair started small, in the garage of founders Bill and Gail Plummer. A dream of finding ways to “make a difference” to clients and customers was the mantra that propelled the company from a handful of employees to the Altair of today.
While still a privately-owned company, in 2012, Altair Global was acquired from the original founders by the senior management team with support from a private investment fi rm. To keep pace with the changing needs of global organizations, Altair revolutionized our approach to customer service. We started by investing in a customer experience management platform, powered by Qualtrics. Through knowledge gained, we realized we needed to break our entire business strategy apart and put it back together around our four core components, which were all supported by a steady stream of technology, operational excellence, and innovation. From this realization emerged our proprietary Experience Management (XM) model.
As we designed and developed each core area, we constructed a journey map to define the moments that matter with Altair Global, and then created ways to reach out at those critical junctures to conduct experience checks or X-checks. Our X-checks are quick, digital touchpoints throughout each journey to gather input and feedback –allowing us to gain experiential (X) data as well as course correct, if necessary.
We have grown our own understanding of what it means to be an experience-focused organization and what is necessary to hear the voice of the customer in each interaction across our company. We then take the information and provide detailed predictive analytics to help our clients make decisions about their program and policies. All our business goals and strategic initiatives correlate to one of the core areas and each area has a champion, or several, working to drive success across those initiatives.

Altair is dedicated to doing the right thing; therefore, we have created our CATALYST program to guide all our environmental, social, and governance impacts across our organization. Through CATALYST, we want to inspire action, minimize our environmental impact, give back, and follow the rules in everything we do. We have an ESG committee, headed by our president and COO, that drives our global commitments.
Our LIFE TMRG is focused on raising awareness and inspiring action across our company; one of our leaders is a member of the WERC Sustainability Advisory Council; and we worked with our supplier partners to launch tree-planting and gas emission-reducing programs across our supply chain. We have planted more than 14,000 trees to date.
We give back through an annual Altair Cares Global Day of Service and team member volunteer hours, so our team members are able to give back to their communities in meaningful ways. We have also partnered with Move For Hunger since 2016 to help reduce food waste and fight hunger—collecting more than 4.75 million meals to date. Altair also partners with various regional and local charities.
Altair has maintained a silver-level rating with EcoVadis since 2013. We also provide climate change reporting to CDP, a global disclosure system for environmental impacts, along with working directly with our clients to support their ESG assessments and targets.

Team Member Portal: For our internal team members, we provide a Daily Activity System Hub as the system of record for managing all relocation activity. Through our internal system, our team members can access their information, interact with customers, and manage workflows. Our goal is to drive consistency in process and service globally for maximum effectiveness.
Customer Portal: For our customers, we provide essential information and tools to assist with the day-today management of a relocation or assignment. With this portal in their pocket or on their desktop, our customers can securely review their individual status, process expenses, access tools, update their profile and tasks, and connect directly with members of our team.
Supplier Partner Portal/Integration: For our supplier partners, we provide a seamless way to interact and integrate with Altair Global to send and receive service orders from Altair. Our major suppliers are integrated into the Altair ecosystem and process orders digitally.
