INTRODUCTION TO THIS REPORT
Altair is committed to creating a legacy of sustainable culture. What started as a journey of awareness about our impact became a mission. The more we learned about how we were accountable for what we do in the world, the more engaged we became in how we influenced it. We have transformed the way we work to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) impacts into all strategic initiatives throughout our organization under the umbrella of our CATALYST program.
The goals of our CATALYST program are to:

Educate, bring awareness, and inspire action
Reduce or eliminate environmental impacts
Safeguard the information we’re entrusted to protect Engage in and give back to our local communities
Follow the rules and regulations as we go
Reflecting our commitment to transparency, this report details our progress toward Altair's ESG goals. We highlight results specifically from January 1 to December 31 , 2023 , unless otherwise stated. We also share our forward-looking goals.
The need for action from all organizations has increased. We want to do our part and inspire our team members, supplier partners, and clients to be aware of what we can do together to make the world a better place in the global mobility industry and beyond.

CHAD STERLING CEO KATHRYN CASSIDY PRESIDENT & COO
LETTER FROM LEADERSHIP
We are delighted to share our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report highlighting our commitment to sustainability in each of these segments. At Altair Global, we are dedicated to caring about our impact on the environment, cultivating inclusive communities, and protecting our data and the data entrusted to us by our clients. We chose the word “Catalyst” for the name of our ESG initiatives because we are, and will be, a change agent in this area. As we know, change can be very challenging, yet it is critical in this space.
Altair has long been an ESG supporter from the time when it was first called Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Over the years, our office space requirements have evolved to include renewable energy options, green building ratings (e.g., LEED), and other energy efficiencies.
Our team members are encouraged to influence and help decide what organizations and initiatives we support in our local communities through our Altair Cares and Team Member Resource Groups (TMRGs). We’ve won awards for business ethics (Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award) and for being an employee-preferred workplace (Frisco Chamber of Commerce Employer of the Year).
As we look forward to 2025 , we have plans to include additional key performance indicators (KPIs) as we continue to advance in each channel of our ESG mission. Increased metrics will require more reporting and dashboards to measure our progress, and collecting more data will allow for greater insights to be shared at various levels, including individual, local, regional, and organizational.
We will continue to drive change by collaborating with our corporate client partners on evolving legislation and compliance, educating our customers (our clients’ relocating employees) with up-to-date sustainability information, and supporting our supplier partners with new and alternative service offerings. Bringing increased awareness to what we’re doing and what we can achieve together is paramount.
We want to thank our team members, client partners, and supplier partners for their acceptance, commitment, and efforts. Their continued dedication has been instrumental in our successes thus far, and together we know we can make a difference toward a more inclusive and sustainable future for everyone.

SUPPORTING THE UNITED NATIONS
GLOBAL COMPACT SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) are an urgent call for action by all countries in a global partnership.
The UNGC recognizes that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests. Altair has chosen the following 9 of the 17 goals as our focus.

Since 2016, we have partnered with Move For Hunger, a national nonprofit organization, to dedicate our efforts toward reducing food waste and fighting hunger.

We support team members through various events to further develop positive health and wellbeing that impacts all facets of our lives.

Through the development of our ethics, labor, and human rights policies and processes, we show our commitment to the fair treatment of our team members worldwide.

Altair has reported on ESG activities since 2013.

We support inclusion and diversity through ongoing training, creating a respectful workplace using the Platinum Rule, and through the work of our Team Member Resource Groups (TMRGs).

We act ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings, and will swiftly, decisively, and resolutely enforce guidelines to ensure no illegal or immoral acts occur anywhere in our own business or supply chain at any tier.

We are committed to fostering an environment that brings out the full potential in each of us, through our TMRG, POWER (Promoting Opportunities for Women to Excel and Rise).

Volunteerism plays a significant role in our culture, embodying our commitment to making a positive impact beyond the workplace.

We want to do our part and inspire our team members, client partners, and supplier partners to be aware of what we can do together to make the world a better place by supporting the UNGC SDGs.

ENVIRONMENTAL
GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS
Loss of natural resources due to climate change demands decisive action from everyone. Altair will continue to develop more environmentally sustainable programs with our supplier partners and invest in green technology.
2022 marked the first year Altair started collecting greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), using 2019 as our baseline. Scope 2 (owned indirect emissions; e.g., purchased electricity) information was gathered from 2019 to 2021 . The data collection was a collaborative effort covering Altair’s three global regions where we have offices: the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
In 2023 , we conducted a comprehensive project to add data for Scope 3 (not-owned indirect emissions; e.g., from our value chain). We determined the categories in Scope 3 relevant to our emissions are Category 1 : Purchased Goods and Services, Category 6 : Business Travel, Category 7: Team Member Commuting, and Category 9 : Downstream Transportation and Distribution. We also identified how we would track emissions within each category, as outlined to the right.

CATEGORY 1: PURCHASED GOODS AND SERVICES
• Equipment purchased and used in all offices
• Services purchased to help provide global mobility services
• Relocation travel
CATEGORY 6: BUSINESS TRAVEL
CATEGORY 7: TEAM MEMBER COMMUTING
• Transportation and lodging purchased for Altair team member business trips
CATEGORY 9: DOWNSTREAM TRANSPORTATION AND DISTRIBUTION
• Transportation taken by team members to and from their local offices
• Household goods shipments and transportation

SCOPE 2 SCOPE 3

SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES WITH SUPPLIER PARTNERS
Altair applies the 80/20 rule when reviewing supplier partner impacts. This rule assumes Altair’s top 20% of supplier partners account for 80% of our spend, and therefore will be the biggest sources of emissions. In 2023 , this accounted for more than 100 supplier partners.
Partnering with our suppliers to reduce emissions will greatly impact our Scope 3 GHG goals. The majority of this data is collected from our annual Supplier Risk Assessment, which includes a specific ESG section.
Continued work will go into improving the questions in our assessment with suitable guides to help aid the response rate from suppliers. Additional support will be offered from Altair
to our strategic supplier partners in the form of training and education to further aid response rates from those suppliers who account for potentially the largest sources of emissions. With the implementation of Altair’s GHG education program, we anticipate increased levels of supplier engagement year over year.
In 2022 , Altair implemented two sustainability programs with members of our supplier partner network. These programs are designed to reduce carbon emissions while positively impacting community ESG initiatives.
With Altair’s Climate Impact and Climate Positive programs, our supplier partners are incorporating ESG initiatives during each step of our customer's relocation journey.
SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES
WITH SUPPLIER PARTNERS

CLIMATE IMPACT PROGRAM
For this initiative, a number of Altair network partners are making donations to global forestries such as One Tree Planted and Ecologi for every service order they receive from Altair. Since launching this program we’ve planted 25,201 trees –22,135 in 2023 alone – with more going into the ground every day.

CLIMATE POSITIVE PROGRAM
Altair has also created a unique Climate Positive Program with Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity and their Zero Net Energy Ready initiative. This program supports the building of ecoefficient homes and helps individuals and families achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

Select supplier partners are making additional donations to Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity if certain climate positive decisions have been made by the client or customer. For example, if a customer opts for a virtual household goods survey, thereby saving fuel costs and reducing carbon output, the participating mover makes an additional donation to Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity. Another example of our Climate Positive Program includes auto carriers making donations to Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity when they ship electric or hybrid vehicles.
Altair mirrors this donation program with select corporate housing partners when a customer opts for a LEED or an Energy Star certified property.
In these programs, the supplier partner is recognizing the customer or client for making an environmentally conscious decision and “paying it forward” by making an additional contribution. In 2023, $21,178 donations were contributed.

ADDITIONAL PARTNERSHIPS

Move For Hunger pioneered a sustainable way for the relocation industry to reduce food waste and fight hunger. In 2023, suppliers in the Altair network collected 1,215,788 pounds of food donations from relocating employees, which is the equivalent of 1,013,157 meals. By saving the food and not having it end up in landfills, this equates to 85.48 tons of CO 2e saved.

Altair has also partnered with Home Sweet Home and their Discard and Donate program, which benefits the environment and local communities by reducing shipment sizes at origin in a responsible and sustainable manner.
In 2023 , Altair clients have reduced shipment weights by 1,831,718 pounds across 1,427 relocations, through this partnership. This translates to:
73,269 lbs.
CARDBOARD AND PAPER SAVED

85.48 tons
1,831,718 lbs. OF

In October 2021, Altair became the first full-service relocation management company (RMC) member of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Smartway program. This program drives supply chain sustainability by measuring, benchmarking, and improving freight transportation efficiency.

In June 2022 , members of Altair’s Supplier Partner
Experience team joined the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Community Solar Partnership (NCSP). This coalition of community solar stakeholders works to expand access to affordable community solar technology.
Altair has created a comprehensive scoring methodology with KPIs that includes the supplier partner’s overall performance in four areas: Compliance, Customer Experience, Client Experience, and Community (representing ESG performance).
As part of the Community (ESG) section, we are reporting and scoring each supplier partner’s performance in three ways:
First, we conduct an annual assessment on each partner’s ESG program. This includes their environmental, social, diversity, and other community programs and performance.

SUPPLIER PARTNER REPORT CARD KPI ROLL-UP
Second, we document the partner’s participation with organizations such as Move For Hunger, their diversity initiatives, and their training and designations with environmental programs such as EcoVadis, EPA Smartway, and the UN Decades (Environmental) charter.
And finally, we are reporting on each partner’s year-over-year carbon reduction efforts.
We incorporate these scores into the supplier partner’s overall report card and KPI score. By incorporating ESG strategies into day-to-day activities, our supplier partners are not only making an impact on their communities but also being recognized for their efforts by Altair and our clients with the potential to be awarded additional booking volume.
Altair’s KPI methodology provides a framework for continuous improvement for our supplier partners while providing tangible incentives.

EMISSIONS REDUCTION PLAN
ALTAIR’S COMMITMENTS

SCOPE 1
FOR SCOPE 2 BY 2025
FOR SCOPE 3 BY 2030
TARGET: NOT APPLICABLE
No action is required to reduce emissions in Scope 1. Due to the nature of Altair’s day-to-day work and business model there are no direct fuel consumption emissions to report.
EMISSIONS REDUCTION PLAN
SCOPE 2 TARGET: TO ACHIEVE NET ZERO OF SCOPE 2 BY 2025
All of Altair’s 11 global offices are leased, and energy is purchased to fuel and heat/cool each office. Energy is either purchased directly from the provider or through the building’s management company. In 2022, Altair did a full review of the energy consumption for each office, using 2019 as the baseline for Scope 2 emissions (see results on page 13).
In order to reduce the Scope 2 data and achieve our net zero target, the two following areas have been highlighted as part of Altair’s emissions reduction plan:
Renewable Energy: Using 2022 as our baseline, less than 0.5% of our energy is supplied by renewable energy. There is plenty of room for improvement, therefore we plan to transfer to renewable energy for all offices globally. Switching our headquarters office in Frisco, Texas to fully renewable energy can reduce Scope 2 emissions by more than 85% alone.
Altair’s offices in London, The Hague, and Dublin are already fully supplied by renewable energy.

Energy Efficiency: In conjunction with switching to renewable energy, Altair will also conduct energy audits to review the efficiency of the buildings and equipment in the office. This will start through the creation of an action plan to complete an energy audit for each office globally. This audit will review the processes and equipment in place to help improve energy efficiency in each office and will explore areas such as:
and air conditioning use
and ventilation
utilization
Based on the results of each individual audit, a local Altair representative will reach out to the office or property manager to determine if the recommended implementations can be made. The audit may also require specific team member training regarding equipment use to maximize efficiency of office equipment. If necessary, Altair’s dedicated Learning & Development team will make suitable training available.

EMISSIONS REDUCTION PLAN
SCOPE 3 TARGET: TO ACHIEVE NET ZERO OF SCOPE 3 BY 2030
CATEGORY 1: PURCHASED GOODS AND SERVICES
Develop targets and stricter policies to reduce spend
We began our review of Scope 3 categories in 2023. The categories below were initially identified as areas of impact for our organization. We may include more categories in the future as we continue to collect and analyze additional data.
CATEGORY 6: BUSINESS TRAVEL
Revise current policies with more rigor around approval process for business travel
CATEGORY 7: TEAM MEMBER COMMUTING
Analyze commuter routes and determine alternative options for carpooling and public transportation
CATEGORY 9: DOWNSTREAM TRANSPORTATION AND DISTRIBUTION

Collaborate with current supplier partners for new Climate Positive programs; partner with more sustainable supplier partners

In 2023 , Altair added two new TMRGs, HYPE and VALOR, into the TMRG family. The work of TMRGs includes arranging charitable initiatives to organizing social celebrations on significant days relating to the specific TMRG. Each quarter, all TMRGs report on their progress and future plans. In these quarterly meetings, the groups engage in open conversations and communicate directly with our C-suite executives.

GREENER MOVES FOR CUSTOMERS
Exploring the idea of what a greener relocation means is a challenge facing the mobility industry. One idea which Altair has worked on is improving the recommendations that can be made to customers with a relocation or on an assignment. Recommendations that help raise awareness of potential environmentally friendly and sustainable changes is achievable. Therefore, Altair has created a sustainability guidelines document and checklist. This information will soon be made available in our STAR Customer Portal where all customers can access it.

2024 ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES
THIRD PARTY VERIFICATION OF GHG EMISSIONS DATA
Altair understands the importance of having our GHG emissions data verified by a third-party company. In order to progress further on our sustainability journey and to show our unwavering commitment to tackling the climate crisis, Altair plans to commit to Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in early 2025.
SCOPE 2 FOCUSRENEWABLE ENERGY
Replace electricity in all offices with renewable energy where available, and purchase carbon offsets if there are no renewable energy options.
SCOPE 3 FOCUSSUPPLIER PARTNERSHIPS

HOUSEHOLD GOODS TRANSPORTATION
• Add more suppliers to Climate Positive and Climate Impact Programs
• Develop and launch third module of supplier certification with focus on ESG
• Update supplier partnership contracts with ESG language
Household goods transportation contributes to a large proportion of Altair’s Scope 3 emissions. In total, 19.5% of our recorded Scope 3 emissions come from household goods transportation partners. This makes it imperative to review the work done with our partners to implement sustainable strategies throughout our network.

2024 ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES
BUSINESS TRAVEL
EMPLOYEE COMMUTING
Developing more rigorous requirements in our business travel process will help reduce our emissions from business travel sources. Requiring the business need to justify travel versus a virtual meeting is commonplace for a majority of companies these days. We intend to modify our current Business Travel Policy with updated requirements.
PROMOTING THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY
A small but important source of emissions is employee commuting. Altair will consider opportunities for possible alternative travel options to help reduce our emissions. A companywide questionnaire will be used to review team member travel into work and research alternatives.
As a source of Scope 3 emissions, waste generation also applies to Altair. As we improve on our sustainability journey, we aim to add data for Category 5, Waste Generated, into our Scope 3 total. One aspect will be to review the process in place for E-waste. Ensuring we’ve explored all options to recycle and reuse E-waste, we will implement a solution in each office. This will help with reducing waste in landfills and reducing cost on purchasing new equipment.
