Immigration is one of the key compliance areas for all our clients.

Whether needing an appropriate visa for an extended business traveller, a work permit for a long-term assignee or residents permits for an assignee’s dependents, immigration legislation can be extremely complex, is subject to constant change, and varies greatly depending on the countries involved as well as the nationality of the assignee and dependents.

Altair Global Immigration Specialists will engage with clients to understand the requirements and duration of the assignment to advise on the most appropriate immigration solution. We will assist assignees, and their family members, with all applications from the start to the end of the immigration process – and that includes chasing down those missing documents that can cause delays in the application process.

Once immigration formalities are dealt with, we also help the assignee understand what needs to happen next, which might range from biometrics appointments at local Embassies, or simply registering with the appropriate authorities on arrival in the new destination.

Although immigration compliance is of fundamental importance to our clients, it can be a confusing time for assignees and our support is there to remove their concerns.

Choosing a home and a new school are two of the most emotive areas for assignees considering an assignment.

Unless expectations are correctly set and managed from the outset, this process can cause great stress for the assignee and family.

Our assistance programmes can be accompanied, or unaccompanied, dependent on client policy and budget.

Our consultants are specialists in this area and work quickly to build a trusting relationship with the assignee and family to make them feel comfortable. We are able to explain details of the client specific programme along with any allowances which are applicable, and combine this with sourcing/showing a selection of highly personalised properties which match the assignees expectations.

Managing the end of an assignment is an area where costs can easily run away with themselves unless properly planned and managed.

Altair Global will take on all the hassle of leaving for the assignee, but will manage the process to mitigate the overall costs associated with the end of the assignment for the corporate client.

There is much to be done when an assignment comes to an end, and Altair Global will ensure compliance with local arrangements and act as advocate for our clients.

PROFESSIONAL MOVE MANAGEMENT

Move management is a core service for most of our clients, and Altair Global’s move management programme will remove the need for clients to undertake the task of arranging for competitive quotes and reviewing them to try to understand what the final cost will be.

We have years of experience in this field and have preferred supplier relationships worldwide. This ensures we receive professional service at very competitive rates.

Altair Global’s Consultant will act as the advocate for clients assignees and will explain the client policy and shipping process in detail. We will instruct the most appropriate moving company ensuring our particular service standards are met, that the move happens in a timely fashion and that the assignee is kept fully informed of progress at all times.

Altair Global will also make arrangements for the necessary insurance coverage to be put in place and will assist the assignee with any resulting insurance claim.
