We are delighted to welcome you to Wycombe Preparatory School, a coeducational independent school, located opposite the Rye and a few minutes’ walk outside the town centre. Our approach to education is unashamedly academic. It is our job to nurture and support your child with tailored learning to achieve their true potential, And we are determined to make this feel effortless and enjoyable too!

Our History
Wycombe Prep began in response to a surge of demand from parents in the area who wanted a first-class academic education for their children within a nurturing, family-orientated environment.
Our team of sought-after teachers have an incredible reputation for their teaching expertise and methods. They are truly dedicated to providing each child with a first-class and rounded education. Secondary schools of first choice are a key part of the equation too!
Whilst Wycombe Prep is a newcomer, its team has a long history of exceptional prep school education in Buckinghamshire. The school is part of the Alpha Schools group, one of the leading independent schools groups in the country. As such, it can draw on decades of experience, resources and inspirational ideas from the very best in the education business.

Pre-School Fees
We offer 15 and 30 hours Government Early Years Funding in pre-school.
Children are eligible to receive the free 15 or 30 hours funding applied the term after their third birthday. Each option to the right has had the funding amount applied.
Children are required to attend a minimum of 5 morning sessions, or 3 full days a week. Morning sessions will run from 8:30am - 12:00pm.

Learning Beyond The Classroom
We believe that extra-curricular activities are an essential part of a student’s educational experience. Our clubs are designed to support our pupil’s development towards becoming self-assured individuals helping them to achieve their full potential both inside and outside of the classroom.
Our school offers a variety of extra-curricular opportunities taught by specialists to suit the interests and skill levels of all of our pupils. Some of the most popular options include: • Music Lessons • Football • Art • Multi Sports • Crafts
• Musical Theatre
Our pupils also benefit from our school trips, where they experience culture, nature, and history first-hand through visits to places such as The London Science Museum and the Theatre.
At the end of their Prep School journey Form VI are provided with the option to attend annual residential trips, including our bi-annual Ski Trip to a French resort where the children have the opportunity to practice their language skills.
