Pressures on young people in India is higher than ever before, with extreme competition for education, employment & consumables. These factors have contributed to stressed family environments as well as India’s high level of youth suicides. Youth Alpha was officially launched nationwide in June to help youth, by giving them an opportunity to explore the meaning of life. Training events took place in Kolkata in June and Chennai in July, and partnerships have been built with other youth-focused ministries. Official resources have been printed by Alpha India to support the large number of courses expected to start. Read the report from Kolkata and more on Page 8.
