Alpha Delta Kappa International Honorary Organization for Women Educators 1615 West 92nd Street Kansas City, MO 64115 March 5, 2021 (updated April 15, 2021) Dear Sisters,
It is an exciting time for Alpha Delta Kappa as we prepare for our first International Virtual Convention. BAV Services (www.bavservices.com) is the production management company that will provide our virtual convention platform. Along with the support from their virtual meeting technicians and participant meeting concierge, BAV will provide the website development for a customized virtual meeting platform specific to Alpha Delta Kappa.
I hope you like the digital magazine that we are using for our pre‐convention information and materials. The table of contents will expand each week as more information is finalized. Each item in the table of contents is an active link that will take you directly to the page you want.
Registration opened March 15th and will close on May 1. Thank you for your patience. This extended time has allowed the Education Symposium Committee time to recruit more presenters. I think you will be really pleased with the additional sessions. Registration will be ONLINE only from March 15 ‐ May 1. Due to the nature of credentialing and voting in a virtual session, there will be no exceptions and no refunds. ALL ATTENDEES MUST REGISTER BY MAY 1.
As promised, the registration costs for this professional, high quality, presentation platform have been kept at a minimum. A $100 registration fee entitles you to all business sessions, the Educational Symposium, three keynote speakers, regional celebrations, the Evening of Entertainment, the Memorial Service, Installation of Officers and so much more. An optional registration fee to attend only the Educational Symposium will be $50. Yes, any member may choose to attend only this special event, July 6‐9 + July 15. Your registration will provide access to the recorded sessions and the ability to watch on your personal schedule! Prospective members should be encouraged to register for this option. There will also be reduced fees for Collegiate Club members and A∆KA members of $25.
A virtual convention presents a number of challenges for conducting business. The rules and procedures of the convention have been adjusted for this setting. As teachers, we know that we must always be flexible. Again, your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
I am looking forward to this new adventure with our first virtual International convention as we move forward with infinite possibilities for Alpha Delta Kappa.
With Love in Our Sisterhood,
Judy Judy Ganzert International President
