Older Adults Care Center 03

This thesis project consist in a development of a Care Center for Older Persons with the main purpose of ensure their life quality. Older people were identified as a vulnerable population because of the unattention they suffer. In that way, this approach looks to reduce the gap providing new equipment for older persons. The equipment in this project have been thought to ensure a better life for them with cultural, residential and health services program according to their needs.
Site
The project is located in a 8000 m2 site.
Orientation
The rooms have been oriented trying to avoid direct solar impact.
Courtyards
The volumes move in diferent directions to crearte courtyard that provides natural light and ventilation.
Privacy
A new volume is created to protect rooms from street noise and provide them privacy.
Accesibility
The building is shaped trying to steer people towards the main and private access.
Terrace
The terraces connect the building with its entourage. At the same time, this terraces create new green semipublic spaces.
