Downtown Carleton Place (DCP), the former Business Improvement Association (BIA), held its monthly board of management meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at Carambeck Community Centre. Owing to the resignation of former chair Rocky McDonald earlier in the month, the group’s first order of business was to vote for a new leader. With no challengers, Mark Lovell, property owner (The Granary building) was elected. Other members of the

DCP management board: Wally Thorbjornsson (Ottawa Business Centre), Rob Probert (Canadian Career Academy), Petra Graber (The Good Food Company), Mike Cimilyan (Paradime Design and IT Solutions Inc.) and Sean Lawrence (Certika Financial Group). Erica Gyldenbjerg (The Twisted Barber) is an associate member on the board; however, she was not present.
