This term has been a busy one with many preparations for the new year taking place. We have key members of staff who will be joining the All Saints Team next year and we are excited about the future of the school. Building work has started to take place in Food Technology, though most of the significant changes to our school building will take place over the summer break. We have listened to concerns our pupils have about key areas within the school and have worked hard to ensure that changes take place so that their time in school is comfortable, enjoyable and safe. We have collected parent voice this term, and have been able to use this advice to support ongoing school improvement. Thank you for your support with this; we really value your input. Also, the teaching staff have gone above and beyond to ensure that supply in lessons is reduced.
We continue to improve our communication with parents and carers using the School Gateway App, which allows us to share insights about rewards, attendance and behaviour along with other notices to keep you well-informed about what is happening in school. We have increased the number of pupil voice surveys that we are collecting, so that we can identify strengths and areas for improvement to help us to continue to improve our school. We have put blue boxes in key areas in school to offer pupils another way of sharing their thoughts with staff.

Despite the disruption to our usual assemblies because exams have been taking place in the school hall, we have continued our weekly assemblies in the Sports Hall as we feel that this time together in full year groups is an important occasion each week. In these assemblies we share the Sunday Gospel and its meaning for us as a Catholic community; coming together in assembly also allows us to praise and reward attendance.
I would like to thank our school mentors for their support with year 5 taster days and the year 6 transition day. Our pupils were the perfect example to our new pupils of the future and I am very proud of their kindness, sense of community and stewardship – well done everyone involved! Another example of our pupils exemplifying the community value was displayed on PSHE day when some of our pupils, from all year groups, led a culture and heritage session for our year 7 pupils throughout the day. This was an opportunity for our pupils to share their cultures with each other. There was food to sample, any misconceptions were addressed and facts were shared. Well done to all pupils involved.

Thank you to all parents and carers who continue to support and contribute constructive ideas regarding homework. In order for homework to be impactful for all, pupils must download the Satchel One app to keep up to date with their assigned homework. We will issue all pupils with information regarding this app at the start of the academic year, but please contact a member of the pastoral team if you need support with this. Please be aware that there is a parent app which can also be downloaded to support you in helping your child prepare for the school day, as their timetable is visible along with any homework which has been assigned. As with all areas of school life, it is beneficial for parents, carers and school staff to work together, so that we can secure the best outcomes for our pupils.

CATHOLIC LIFE
During the month of June, we celebrated the Feast of Corpus Christi. We came together at a Mass which was celebrated by the Bishop at St Anthony's.
We are very fortunate to be named after a Feast day where Catholics celebrate Christ's presence in the Eucharist. This was a great opportunity for us to gather as a community. We would like to celebrate our school choir who made us proud singing in front of our community. Thank you to Mrs Millington and Mr O'Neill for supporting our pupils with this amazing opportunity.
Our year 9 pupils have also had the opportunity to attend a retreat to support team building and resilience.

This month, our pupils had the opportunity to attend our school Mini Dash event at St Ambrose College. Our pupils came together in prayer to celebrate the Feast Day of St Peter and Paul. “At the heart of their story is not their own gifts and abilities, but the encounter with Christ that changed their lives.” - Pope
Francis

We set high expectations for pupils’ attendance and punctuality - for pupils to succeed academically and to become well rounded citizens when they leave us. We expect all pupils to achieve at least 97% attendance and 0 lates.
