FROM THE DIRECTOR
This year we chose to dive into a vibrant underwater adventure with 115 very eager young performers for our highly anticipated Junior School musical. So we began our journey into the Big Blue World
The beautiful story of Finding Nemo Jr. is about a place where everyone is celebrated for their unique and differing abilities.
“When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do?
Just keep swimming!” Dory’s most memorable line, spoken to Nemo’s father Marlin, has a message for us all. You never know what life is going to hand you. It can change in an instant. Don’t look back, look forward, and above all – “just keep swimming”.
This year’s spectacular show is, once again, the culmination of months of dedication and hard work from an amazing production team. Led by the very talented Andrew Lange, Musical Director extraordinaire, and our phenomenally creative Choreographer Mrs Jane Venter, this team’s commitment to theatre, passion for performance and capacity to bring out the very best in everyone never cease to inspire. They truly are gifts to our school community.
All Saints musicals are renowned for their incredible costumes, and this adventure under the sea has been no different. Our amazing Head of Wardrobe Mrs Julianne Mutton has worked tirelessly over the last six months designing and creating over 300 amazing costumes, transforming our Year 5 and 6 student cast into an array of spectacular sea creatures.

The design and construction of the underwater set has been expertly crafted by our theatre technicians Matthew Dean and Darren Curtis and their committed crew of trainees. This backstage team is also responsible for ensuring the smooth and slick movement of the show’s most magical moments. Once again, this year we have been so fortunate to be supported by All Saints staff, Middle and Senior School students and family members of our cast, who have volunteered countless days to bring this show to life. From magically transforming umbrellas into jellyfish, calico into turtle shells, bike helmets into shark heads and pool noodles into anemone, the list of jobs has been endless. We are so grateful for their hard work, and their unwavering patience and encouragement.
Finally, I would like to acknowledge the incredibly talented cast. The students have worked with unwavering enthusiasm, commitment and boundless energy over the six month rehearsal period. We know you will be just as proud as I am, as they take to the stage to share this engaging story through song and dance.
On behalf of the cast and crew of Finding Nemo Jr. we hope you will be swept away by the magic of the ocean and inspired to embrace adventure, cherish your loved ones, and swim towards your dreams.
