Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
Characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and loss of interest in daily activities Symptoms last for at least two weeks and can interfere with daily functioning
Bipolar Disorder

Involves alternating periods of depression and mania (elevated mood, increased activity, and risky behaviors). Bipolar I includes severe manic episodes, while Bipolar II has hypomanic (less severe) episodes.
Dysthymia (Persistent Depressive Disorder)
A chronic form of depression where symptoms are less severe but last for at least two years Individuals may experience low energy, poor self-esteem, and difficulties in maintaining motivation
