Seward Summit Delivers $½ Million Grant Gives Broadband To Whole County

he League of Women Voters is sponsoring a forum for village trustee candidates at 7 p.m. Monday, March 18, at 22 Main St. Public welcome. Speaking will be Lou Allstadt, a Democrat and independent, Bruce Maxson, endorsed by Republicans and Democrats, and Democrat Joan Nicols. The Democrats’ annual preelection spaghetti supper will present it, 4-7 p.m. at Templeton Hall. Polls will be open Tuesday, March 19.

xpanding paid parking along Main Street this summer may add many thousands in revenue.

ooperstown Village Justice Leslie Friedman is considering a run for one of two vacancies for state Supreme Court in District 6, which includes Otsego County, said county Democratic chair Richard Abbate. Friedman, an attorney, was appointed village justice in 2009 and elected in 2011. A graduate of Bryn Mawr and the NYU School of Law, she is married to a Bassett physician. The couple has two children.
