tate Sen. Jim Seward, R-Milford, and the Hartwick Town Board Monday, Oct. 15, announced receipt of a $1 million start grant that will largely refurbish the hamlet’s ailing water system. The grant will replace water mains, the auxiliary well and the well-house building; buy new mixers for existing water storage tank and an emergency backup generator for the primary well pump; replace or repair existing water meters. The total cost of the improvement project is estimated at $1.35 million.

HARTWICK SEMINARY ike many dads, Chris MacDonald put a jack o’lantern at the end of his driveway last Halloween. Unlike most jack o’lanterns, his weighs 800 pounds.
