iscovering that Schoolhouse Court and Cooper Lane are not official village streets, the Village Board has eliminated snow-plowing service to households there. The status of Doubleday Lane, between Cooley’s and Stonehouse Gifts, is unclear, and Village Attorney Martin Tillapaugh planned to meet with property owners there, seeking to clarify its status.

RELAY RECORD: The 14th annual Cooperstown/ Northern Otsego County Relay For Life May 18-19 at Cooperstown Dreams Park attracted 470 participants and raised a record $108,000 “and counting,” said the event’s chair, Carla Eckler.

The bad news is Lamont’s $9,000 study, commissioned by the Village Board, recommends trustees set aside $900,000 a year for street repair, $600,000 more than what is normally budgeted now.
