assett Hospital’s Emergency Room was abuzz with activity Monday, April 1, after a 34-year-old Edmeston man who shot himself in the foot with a rifle while attempting to shoot a woodchuck was brought in for treatment. The man was driven from Edmeston to New Berlin in a private car, and he was then spirited to Bassett by ARS ambulance, said Sheriff Richard J. Devlin Jr. No details of his foot’s condition were available.
