One Pipeline Is Enough, FERC Told By Seward
T
he Constitution Pipeline is enough, state Sen. Jim Seward, R-Milford, said in advising FERC of his “strong opposition” to Kinder-Morgan plans to run a Tennessee Gas Pipeline through Delaware County on a parallel track. “The Constitution Pipeline project will directly benefit Amphenol, the Village of Sidney, and other local interests,” Seward wrote to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. “In this instance, however, there is no local benefit and no reason for me to support an additional pipeline.” IT’S THE ONE: Chobani of South Edmeston has been selected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as the main provider of Greek yogurt to K-12 school meal programs around the country, Chief Marketing Officer Peter McGuinness announced in recent days. PAVING CONTINUES: Weather permitting, the city DPW’s intense paving efforts were to continue Thursday, July 3, along West Street between Clinton Street and College Terrace.
