She asked restaurateur Cory Moffat about the photo. “We probably have the original upstairs,” said Cory. “She went upstairs – and they did!” said Allison. The Hill-Edgars were embarking on a restoration, and Allison had stumbled on the blueprint – and how lucky that she had. In keeping with 1960s taste, the threestory structure had been streamlined and, except for the general outlines, looked very little like the original. ince moving from here to Nader Towers, Lady Ostapeck can’t walk down Oneonta’s Main Street without being recognized. She is similarly sought out in Cooperstown. “People stop me
– ‘Oh, you took a portrait of my mother’,” she said the other day during a visit to her former home/studio, a Greek revival cottage in the Fly Creek Valley.
