n the first warm day of spring, nearly 200 bidders and gawkers packed Hesse Galleries to bid – or even just sneak a peek – at the legacy of Stevens’ Hardware memorabilia on the auction block. “We usually have a crowd, but

not like this!� said Lisa Killmeier, auctioneer Buzz Hesse’s assistant. “This is a very special occasion.
