FLY CREEK n the stage of the Fly Creek Methodist Church, Bill Schaeffer is playing an acoustic version of The Stray Cats’ “Stray Cat Strut,” while grown men in paper cat masks yowl behind him. It’s not a costume party – it’s the rehearsals of Fly Creek Philharmonic. “Everybody gets wacky and has a good time,” said Schaeffer, one of the 13 original participants. “We practice for three months, and it gets us through the winter.” The show, on Friday-Saturday, March 13-14, marks the 20th year for the Philharmonic.
