t was teenage infatuation at first sight. “I was 12 when the Beatles first appeared on ‘The Ed Sullivan Show’,” gushed Meg Tillapaugh, Cooperstown. “They were incredible, and my dad was teasing me about it. One of the friends Courtney Dillard and Matt Webber of Portland, Ore., made in Cooperstown was Homer Osterhoudt, the 96-year-old retired mail-

man who has attended all but three of the 74 Hall of Fame Inductions. (This year is Hall’s 75th anniversary).
