BACKGROUND
According to Chinese mythology, there used to be 10 Suns in the universe. They would each take turns crossing the sky of our planet one by one, until one day, they decided to all come out at once. Their intense heat and radiation scorched the Earth, causing misery and suffering, so, King Yao tasked the famous archer, Hou Yi, to rein in the Suns.
In the beginning, Hou Yi tried reasoning with the Suns, but they wouldn’t listen to him. Then, he tried intimidating them by pretending to shoot his bow at them, but still, the Suns refused to listen. Left with no other choice, Hou Yi began to shoot the Suns down.
At this point, Hou Yi has successfully shot 7 Suns down. There are 3 Suns in left the sky.
OBJECTIVES
This game is a 3 versus 1 player system. One player is Hou Yi, and the other players are the 3 remaining Suns.
Hou Yi must shoot down all 3 Suns while the Suns try to evade him. If Hou Yi shoots all 3 Suns down, he wins. If 20 minutes have elapsed and there are 2 or more Suns alive, the Suns win the game.

GAME PLAY
SET UP
Hou Yi starts on the middle cloud in the very bottom row, closest to the mountains. The 3 Suns start on the 3 clouds in the middle of the very top row, furthest from the mountains. Hou Yi and the 3 Suns all start with no Raven cards, and must collect them first in order to use them in gameplay later.
Move Right, Left, Up, or Down across the game board, one cloud at a time. Use a Raven card.
SHOOTING ARROWS
Wood Arrows: Hou Yi must be 1 Cloud away from his target. If he rolls a 1, 2, or 3, the Arrow misses; a 4 or 5, the Arrow hits; a 6, the Arrow evades the Flare and hits.
Bamboo Arrows: Hou Yi can be anywhere in the same row or column as his target. If he rolls a 1, 2, 3, or 4, the Arrow misses; a 5, the Arrow hits; a 6, the Arrow evades the Flare and hits.
If a Sun has a Flare, and Hou Yi does not roll a 6, the Flare and the Arrow cancel out. Both cards are discarded.
WHAT IF...?
If a Sun is shot, they must flip over their token and return all their Raven cards. As a Raven, they serve as obstacles. If a Raven is between Hou Yi and a Sun, Hou Yi must shoot the Raven to get through it or go around it to get to the Sun. If Hou Yi shoots the Raven, he can then place it wherever he wishes.
RAVEN CARDS
The 7 fallen Suns, now three-legged Ravens, are perched on clouds across the board. Players who land on those clouds may ask the Raven for help and pick up a Raven card. Asking for help does not cost a move, but using a card does. Raven cards can be collected for later use, but cannot be shared.
WOOD ARROW
Wood Arrows are the most common form of equipment. Can only be shot once.
BAMBOO ARROW
Bamboo Arrows have more range but are less accurate. Can only be shot once.
FLARE
Sun Flares are used as shields to burn Hou Yi’s Arrows. Can only be used once.
AURORA
Aurora’s can turn one Raven back into a Sun. Can only be used if 1 Sun is left.
NEGATIVE FEEDBACK LOOP
If there is 1 Sun left, the remaining player can use an Aurora Card to turn a Raven back into a Sun.
