is a Downtown Alliance (ADNY) program that transforms your vacant storefront into a temporary pop-up retail opportunity by pairing your space with qualified, short-term tenants.
WHY RE:STORE?
By hosting dynamic pop-up retailers to enliven your storefront, RE:Store will transform your space, increase foot traffic and help attract future tenants.

HOW IT WORKS
1. LEASE SPACE
to ADNY, with a zero dollar agreement for a six-month term.
2. OPEN APPLICATIONS
through ADNY for pop-up tenants from NYC entrepreneurs who will be carefully vetted by a committee of experts.
3. CHOOSE A TENANT
from our selection of three qualified small business operators matched to your property.
3. GO FOR ROUND TWO
with a new tenant for a second six-month lease term following the same steps as above
CASE STUDY
25 new pop-ups are coming soon. BEFORE
San Fransisco’s “Vacant to Vibrant” program has activated 18 vacant storefronts, resulting in 10 long-term leases and a 60% long-term lease conversion rate.
PAST PROJECTS
Between 2021 and 2023, ADNY activated ~20 storefronts in the district through the Art on the Ave program, hosting work by more than 30 local artists. Like Art on the Ave, RE:Store will demonstrate the viability of creative uses of vacant storefronts.
