CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK SEEKING SPONSORSHIPS FOR 2024

As we embark on another year of planning and striving to create a positive community event, we are reaching out to request your support through a donation to support the various components of Christmas in the Park. This year’s event will take place on December 7 from 5-8 p.m. at Silver Park.

Local contributions have played a pivotal role in helping us achieve our mission in the past, and we are immensely grateful for continued support across the community. In the past few years, we have expanded Christmas in the Park to an event that has more than 8 free interactive stations for families and increased the number of displays at Silver Park.

This year we are looking to expand the activities offered while investing in new light displays that will last for years to come. However, we cannot achieve these goals without the financial support of compassionate individuals and businesses like yours. Donations for the light displays secure annual recognition on the display.

(330) 821-7438 office@paulielectric.com

Please consider a tax-deductible donation to Friends of the Park. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference in the lives of those we serve. Here are some ways your donation can impact our organization:

• $250 – sponsorship of activity for children and families at the event

• $500 – partial sponsorship of ice sculptor or new light display

• $750 – sponsorship of small light display

• $1,250 – sponsorship of large light display

DONATIONS BEING SOUGHT FOR WOMEN’S DIVISION ANNUAL PURSES

The Women’s Division of the Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual “Purses with a Purpose,” open to all, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

Proceeds from the event will support the Women’s Division’s philanthropic endeavors, which are focused on assisting and meeting the needs of women and children in the greater Alliance community. In the past, the Women’s Division has provided much-needed financial support for community organizations, including the YWCA of Alliance, Alliance Family YMCA, Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter, Alliance Community Pantry, Alliance for Children and Families, and Rodman Public Library, among others.

The Women’s Division was founded in 1944 as the first Women’s Division in the State of Ohio and only the seventh in the United States. It is one of only a few Women’s Divisions still active in the nation. Its purpose is to promote the spirit of civic, commercial, cultural, and educational programs among the business and professional women of Alliance; to foster good will; and to cooperate with the Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce in advancing the civic, cultural, educational, and health interests of the City of Alliance. Female employees of Chamber of Commerce member businesses are eligible for membership in the Women’s Division.

The Women’s Division would be very grateful if you would consider donating one of numerous swag bag prizes, new purses for a purse raffle, gently-used handbags for a silent auction, or raffle baskets. To donate gift cards, lottery tickets, trinkets, or other small swag bag items, please drop them off to Beth Ryan at

WITH A PURPOSE

Pauli Electric. Purses or handbags for the purse raffle, repurposed bags for the silent auction, or raffle baskets can be dropped off at the Alliance YWCA or Pauli Electric during regular business hours.

We also hope that you will consider joining us for the fun and rewarding event. Please see the information to the right for details.

MARKETING LUNCHEON SERIES

The Marketing Committee of the Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce held its first Marketing Luncheon Series of 2024 featuring a panel discuss regarding small business marketing.

The Marketing Committee has been seeking feedback as it explores the potential for small business marketing consulting services for the area business community. These services would be offered based on need and at a low cost, led by a team of experienced marketing and communication professionals living and/or working in and around Alliance. Recently, nearly 60 representatives of Alliance area businesses completed a survey regarding their business marketing needs. Guests at the luncheon had an opportunity to learn a bit more about the survey results and to hear from some of the marketing experts committed to providing these lowcost services.

The panel featured Melissa Gardner, chief communication officer at the University of Mount Union; Nate Sheen, president and owner of Astoria; Amy Beth Williamson, owner of The Hidden Abbey Event Center; and Trista Todd, vice president of marketing and development at CommQuest Services, Inc.

Mark your calendars for these upcoming marketing luncheons.
