Alliance Anti-Trafic (AAT) brings over 20 years of expertise in protecting women andgirlsfromsexualexploitationandviolence,whileempoweringformervictimsto rebuild their lives and create a brighter future. With the help of our lawyers, we provide legal assistance to women and girls who were victims of sexual exploitation and human trafficking. AAT offers legal support for beneficiaries involved in our cases and assists with legal actionsuponrequestfromgovernmentornon-governmentagencies.

Wefightforjusticeforourbeneficiariesincludingholding offendersaccountableanddemandingmonetary compensationforvictims.

EMPOWERMENT

In the empowerment program, we provide services such as education and career opportunities to women and girls at risk of sexual exploitation and sexual violence and to victims. Notably, our services cater to both target groups to provide a space for connection These services help mitigate the riskoffutureviolenceandimprovereintegration.

We regularly check in with participants to offer support and encouragement. This program also connects current and former beneficiaries who are now successful in their education and careers through consultations and field visits. We develop their leadership skills so they can join our network of volunteers and support others in similar situations

The volunteers also conducted their own activities, such as awareness-raising (e.g., around human trafficking, forced marriage, safe migration, protection strategies), case reporting, supported translation and communication with ethnic groups, and provided basicconsultations.119womenandgirlsbenefitedfromtheactivitiesofvolunteers.

Two of our volunteers did an internship in Thailand to learn about AAT’s work and connect with similar Thai organizations such as the Labor Protection Network Foundation, Thai Volunteer Foundation, Matches Group, Night Light Foundation, and Mirror Foundation Interns learned about human rights, life coaching social work, playbasedactivities,fundraising,onlinemarketing,andotherrelevantactivities

Another volunteer learned about the legal assistance practices of AAT’s legal team in Thailand She then applied this knowledge to support lawyers in Laos assisting two victimswiththeirlegalprocesses

WATCHDOG &OUTREACH

AAT collaborates with our volunteers and our network to disseminate essential information and provide support within target communities. We establishandtraincommunitywatchdogsinhigh-riskareas,whohelpdetect andnotifyAATofpotentialcases Watchdogsalsotrainatriskpeopleinlocal communities to mitigate exposure to sexual exploitation. In Vietnam, our “Health Insurance Support Program” provides in-community health support towomenandgirlsinprostitution.

THAILAND

In Thailand, 892 people from at risk communities were trained in harm preventionandprotectionstrategies

AAT educated 687 students in schools across Northeastern Thailand (Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, and Udon Thani provinces). This included training and information sharing regarding online risks, human trafficking, protectionstrategies,andcasenotification.

AATorganizedameetingwith60peopleinPibunmangsahandistrict,Ubon Ratchathani province, where participants exchanged their concerns for children and youth in their villages. The top concerns were online risks, drugs,andsexualbehavior.

AAT provided training to 121 people in Ubon Ratchathani and Buriram provinces regarding online risks, sexual exploitation, and unsafe migration. The training also covered information on how to work abroad legally and safely,reportacase,andprotectthemselves.Afollowingsessiondiscussed dangersspecifictomarriagesbetweenThaiwomenandEuropeanmen.

AAT organized a meeting with 24 community leaders and members from five railroad communities in Nakhon Ratchasima province. The meeting, supported by the Municipal Office and local civil society organizations, introduced AAT and its training programs focused on online risks, human trafficking, online sexual exploitation, and protection strategies tailored for thecommunity,includingchildrenandteenagers

LAOS

In Laos, 1,283 people from at risk communities were trained in harm preventionandprotectionstrategies.

AAT trained 30 government officials in Vientiane Capital, Vientiane, and Xayaburiprovincestodisseminateknowledgetocitizens.

Following this training, 1,253 people from local communities in Vientiane Capital,Vientiane,andXayaburiprovincesparticipatedintrainingbythe LaoFederationofTradeUnion(LFTU)regardingrisksofhumantrafficking, forcedmarriage,casenotification,andprotectionstrategies.

InShanState,675peoplefromatrisk communitiesweretrainedinharm preventionandprotectionstrategies.

AATdevelopedthecapacityof26local peopletoimplementactivitiesinShan State AATprovidedthemwithtrainingon humantrafficking,forcedmarriage,safe migration,andprotectionstrategies. Ofthese,14volunteersself-organizedand conductedtheiractivitiesreaching649 peopleinKengtung,Mongyawng,Hsipaw, andLashiotownships.

In Vietnam, AAT conducted outreach programs targeting young women in prostitution to support alternative employment and provide crucialhealthservices.AATreached2,807young women and provided health insurance support andsexualhealthservicesto2,479ofthem.

In China: Lao and Shan women in stable relationships with Chinese men continue to report cases to AAT and introduce AAT to women and girls seeking help Victims and volunteers also play a crucial role in case notificationandprovidingbasicsupport.

In UAE: AAT visited the UAE to meet and discuss with active networks supporting victims, namely Thai communities, the Thai Embassy, and the ThaiConsulatetowardspotentialcollaborations.

In Europe: AAT organized online exchanges with our network in Europe to provideregularupdatesonthesituation.AATalsoinvitedBanYing,oneof the oldest women ' s projects in Berlin working to combat human trafficking, to present information on safe migration and life in Europe to womeninBuriramprovince,Thailand.

On12August,Ms.ChaleeratSaengsuwan, AAT’sProgramCoordinator,gavean interviewtoWorkpointTodayon“Detained –Forcedtopaydebt:humantrafficking forsexworkersof ThaiwomeninEurope.”

On15August,Ms.ChaleeratSaengsuwan joinedthelivestreamsessionofSathanee Prachachon(PeopleStation)ofThaiPBS, andgaveaninterviewon “Cutthecircleofchildprostitution–from providertotrafficker”
