Introduction Navision is the ERP software solution by Microsoft, typically used by SMEs. Initially “Navision” was an accounting package developed by a Danish company founded in 1983 which, Microsoft acquired in 2002. Microsoft Dynamics ERP comprises of five primary products: Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Dynamics SL, and Microsoft Dynamics C5. Microsoft “Navision” product has seen several enhancements in its name, features and functionalities which include, “Navision Financials”, “Navision Solutions”, “Navision Attain”, “Microsoft Business Solutions”. Microsoft re-branded the product and called it Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The latest cloud offering of NAV is again rebranded as “Dynamics 365 Business Central” Microsoft has released a number of upgrade since its takeover. The latest upgrade being ‘Dynamics 365 Business Central’ after the NAV 2018 release. The latest version is built on some new technologies like Artificial Intelligence.
