Allen Edmonds shoes come in lengths from 6-16. Each half size increases by approximately one-sixth of an inch and each full size increases by one-third of an inch. The widths of Allen Edmonds shoes range from AAA, the narrowest width, to EEE, the widest width, with a D width considered medium. Technically speaking, each width increases by approximately three-sixteenths of an inch in total girth. Another benefit of choosing Allen Edmonds shoes is the wide variety of lasts we use. Known more simply as the 5 last, the 65 last is our most popular, classic fitting last. The longest in length of all of our lasts; best for a long, narrow look; and often the best fit for those with high arches. Our best-selling Park Avenue is made on the 65 last. 97 Last
Known more simply as the 7 last, the 97 last is the best fit for the average foot. The 97 last is one of Allen Edmonds early lasts, and has a soft, slightly pointed toe. 333 Last
Known more simply as the 3 last, the 73 last is designed for classic American designs. The 73 last has the fullest fit measurement in the ball of the foot with a tapered toe and more room across the forefoot.
Known more simply as the 8 last, the 108 last has an elongated forepart with a tapered and flatter toe. It is similar to the 222 last with a longer, narrower fit and a rounded toe.
Known more simply as the 4 last, the 234 last was the first Allen Edmonds last with a non-rounded toe. The 234 last is modeled after the 97 last for the best fit for the average foot, but with a less pronounced point and subtly squared-off toe. Shoes built on 234 last Addison
Known more simply as the 9 last, the 79 last has a tapered back portion which allows for lower, shorter vamp designs creating a low fit across the top of the foot.
Introduced in fall 2013, the 121 last is a last that we use exclusively in the manufacturing of boots. This last is rounded and full fitting with a more linear silhouette.
