The lights come on at 5:03 AM. No fanfare, just rhythm.
Steel hums. Leather waits. The first hands begin their work. Not automation. Not mass production. Something slower, truer.
Here, machines don’t replace hands, they extend them. Enhance them. Challenge them.
Over 140 artisans walk the factory floor, each with a practiced instinct and a personal signature. They don’t clock in to assemble. They show up to shape.
Every stitch is a decision. Every sole, a conversation between tradition and possibility.
This is how we make shoes. With human hands, and human standards. With machines that serve the maker; not the other way around.
Because craft is not nostalgic. It’s a practice. It lives here.

A shoe defined by what it excludes. Just one flawless piece of leather, hand-selected and sculpted into form with a mastery that leaves no margin for error. This is the purest expression of artisanship. A single cut forms the entire upper, uninterrupted. It’s then stitched to a precision engineered sole using our signature Goodyear welted construction.
Crafted in Port Washington, Wisconsin and finished with an heirloom level of attention.
The Morrison is more than a shoe. It’s a study in balance: of minimalism and substance, of heritage and modernity.

This season the design team that created our highest quality shoes to date revisited the Reserve collection with a different perspective. The result: A new expression of American luxury. Familiar in its precision yet purposely easy and rugged. Crafted with the same intricate hand workmanship, the new Nash boot and Noah derby bring our highest standard of artistry to a broader spectrum of style.
We believe true quality is built on proven utility. Using the substantial heft and height of Lactae Hevea latex rubber lug soles, the newest additions to our Reserve collection embody functional luxury.
Traditional shoemaking at its sleekest and most refined. A new release built on the same streamlined shape of our 2016 footwear last used for the bestselling Randolph 2.0 loafer.
Classics with a more relaxed approach to our craft. The Verse collection is built in America with soft, supple uppers and latex rubber soles. An easier perspective towards style where luxury is lived, not just displayed.
What I always keep in mind is how many of the uniquely American values, developed over time, can be refined and transformed into something exciting and relevant for today’s world.
OUR CLASSICS WITH LEGACY MAKERS
Daiki Suzuki founded his New Yorkbased label, Engineered Garments, by reimagining American outdoor gear, workwear and heritage staples through a fresh, innovative perspective. We teamed up with him to develop a limited-edition release handcrafted by our team in Port Washington, Wisconsin. The low-top hiker we created together is inspired by a pair of our archival Sun Valley boots from Daiki’s personal footwear collection. From the matte black hardware to the substantial Goodyear welt, every detail is built on our shared reverence for traditional craft.
Rich, matte and deeply considered. The new neutral brings sophistication to this season, grounding the elevated wardrobe. For us, fall begins with brown.
Dynamic forward momentum in both inspiration and execution. Our Lionel sneaker is built with the flexibility of a jogger and crafted with the polish of a dress shoe for elegance and performance in all settings.
WITH A SHOEMAKERS POINT OF VIEW
