Heather Khazaneh
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Paquita is a four-time graduate of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and a registered CPA in the state of Michigan. She has worked as both an auditor and tax accountant for Deloitte and on the finance staff at Ford Motor Company. After completing the PhD program she joined the Department of Accountancy at the University of Notre Dame. Currently Paquita is the Executive Director of Graduate Programs at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business and a KPMG National Instructor. She has published research on pensions and executive compensation in The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Accounting Horizons and other international accounting journals. She is a member of the American Accounting Association and the European Accounting Association and is an associate editor of the Journal of International Accounting Research.
George is Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Clinton Group, Inc., a registered investment advisor. Before founding the company in 1991, he was a Vice President at Greenwich Capital Markets, Inc., a leading primary dealer and mortgage securities broker-dealer. He also directed mortgage securities trading at Citicorp Investment Bank and spent two years working as a nuclear engineer for the Tenneco Corporation.
Heather has a passion for education and wellness. She has volunteered for and sponsored a youth program called “Operation Beat the Streets” at Bethel Gospel Assembly Church in East Harlem. This program provided a hot meal, religious instruction and athletics every Friday night for local children. Heather started a tutoring program with Sixth Graders at PS 7, in East Harlem, as well as sponsored the basketball team. In partnership with the principal at PS 7, she created a Wellness Program through which the school has earned a gold standard in Wellness and won a $4 million grant from Edible School Yards Partnership. This grant is only the second awarded in the New York City area, and PS 7 is the first showcase school in Manhattan for Edible School Yards.
Since arriving at Allen-Stevenson Paquita has been an Annual Fund Captain and has created the content for the annual Black History Month display. Paquita is an avid sports fan and volunteers her time by keeping score for Harlem Little League and Gladiator Sports Basketball tournaments. She is also a member of the Paton Accounting Center Advisory Board at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. Paquita is the mother of 8-year old Evan ’20.

Throughout his career, George has taken an active role in numerous philanthropic causes, contributing significantly to health care, educational and cultural organizations. He is a member of the Board of the New York University School of Medicine Foundation, and an active member of the NYU Child Study Center. In 2002, George established The George E. Hall Childhood Diabetes Foundation. Mr. Hall is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. George and his wife, Lori, are parents of Kathryn, George, Jr.’18, and Charlotte.
In addition, Heather has been an active PA volunteer at Allen-Stevenson. She has been a Class Representative, Committee Chair for the Coin Drive, Mother-Son Breakfast, Book Fair, Library, served as Vice President on the executive committee last year, and this year as President. Heather and her husband, Ali, President of Rima Investors, have two sons, Christopher ’19 and Alexander who is a ninth grader at Dwight.
