I like to hide . My name is Murphy
See if you can find me!

This book is about Murphy’s true life adventures. He made up his game himself and he plays it every time we go for a walk!
All the photos are real pictures of Murphy playing his game on the beaches and in the meadows near his house.

It all started when I was a puppy.

I made up a new game.

I put the ball down. Then I hide.

In the beginning I made it easy.
But I kept getting better and better!

I’m getting tricky. Can you see me?

Can you see me now?

There are lots of beaches and grassy fields where I can hide.

I live on a little island.
Sometimes when I play too hard I get tired.
Then I go to sleep with my friend.

Once in awhile we get this cold white stuff. But I like it.

If you can’t find me, look on the next page.

Here I am.
I’m really getting good, huh?

I think this is better. What do you think?

OK, I’m getting good now.

You can see where I am on the next page.

Hey,

Go back and see how far away I am.

I’m getting so good.

Sometimes I need to take a swim. Do you see me?

And play with sticks. Dad says I pick them too big.

Do you think I’m doing a good job hiding here?

Or here?

Here I am

Come on, throw me my ball.

You need to look carefully.

Hey, did you throw my ball?

Cool shadow huh?

I look like the grass.
Now I look like the leaves.

This was a big tree.
I’m getting tricky, huh?

I look likethe sand.

This one is easy.

I turned into a stick.

Wow, I went far away.

I’m playing fort.
Yikes, I’m good.

I hope you enjoyed my adventures. It’s hard being a good hider. I get pretty tired so I’m going to take a nap. I’m sure I’ll see you again soon.

Good night my new friends.
After a full day of hiding, I need to go to sleep and have fun puppy dreams.
How about you? Goodnight.
