India Clinic update
Lord Jesus, you are the Good Shepherd. In you I place all my hope and I entrust myself to you completely. In your plan for our salvation you provide shepherds for your people. Fill your Church with the spirit of courage and love and raise up worthy ministers who are passionate but gentle servants of the gospel.
Thank you to all our students who supported the Lenten Appeal for our India project. We received an update over the Easter holidays to say the community room of the building is almost complete. The other fittings like electrical, plumbing work, flooring, doors windows and solar lighting are due to be fitted within the next few weeks. Until completion children continue their studies as usual and the women of the communality have their meeting as before on the ground outside of the clinic!
Amen.
As part of our Lenten Fundraising, the following students were nominated by their tutors for their significant contribution. Names were entered into a prize draw for a cinema voucher. 109 This is the number of parents who have very kindly completed the Parent View questionnaire so far, a rise of 4 since the last newsletter. The previous data was erased when we became and academy and we would be very grateful if as many parents as possible could fill in this on-line form so we can use the information in our college self evaluation and action planning. www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/. This is a key document for OfSTED and we really need your help. Its fantastic news we have reached our target of 100, we are now aiming for 200 before the next half term.
Parents as Partners: Prepare for Learning Parents – please can you check your child’s equipment for learning and uniform as we go into the final term of the year and please replenish any items as necessary. Every student should carry with them a pen, pencil, ruler and their planner, in addition to their exercise books and textbooks this should be everyday. A calculator is also required for Mathematics, Bible for RE and dictionaries for languages and English. Students are also expected to have a suitable bag (see policy) for carrying books and equipment
