Father in heaven, help us to accept one another, with all our faults and failings, and especially during this Season of Lent help us to fast from prejudice and discrimination and to be more tolerant of others. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

The previous data was erased when we became and academy and we would be very grateful if as many parents as possible could fill in this on-line form so we can use the information in our college self evaluation and action planning. www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/. This is a key document for OfSTED and we really need your help. We are aiming for at least 100 responses before Easter.
To Kill a Mockingbird trip A group of Drama students in yr9,10,11 & 13 visited The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester on Monday 4th March to see a dramatized version of Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird. The students thoroughly enjoyed a spectacular and moving performance and now have plenty to write about in their coursework and exam tasks, as well as being inspired to produce high quality practical work.
Enterprise Competition Success The Time 2 Change Project has been celebrated in The Romero Centre with 10 local primary schools sending their winning teams to compete in a 'final showdown'. The challenge set was to design a mode of transport for a named foreign country that was fit for purpose in being able to transport Fair-trade products, taking into account terrain, climate etc. They had to purchase resources and materials using the appropriate foreign language and also redesign the country's flag to incorporate a fair-trade theme. The Overall Winner for 2013 was St. Gregory's, with Gawsworth coming in as Runners Up and The Best Team Log Award went to St. Alban's. The competition, which started back in September 2012, has raised over £2,000 for more than 15 different charities. Also successful in another competition was 'The House Rules', an enterprise idea presented in a pitch to a distinguished panel of 'dragons' by Jessica Ainsworth and Rebecca Lynch in Year 9. They won a substantial cash prize with £500 coming into The College to support continued enterprise initiatives. They now go through to the next round of The Young Starship Enterprise Competition to be held at Old Trafford later in the year, with the chance of winning further, even more substantial prizes. Congratulations to all students who took part!
