O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, through Christ Our Lord. Alumni News Congratulations to Hannah Bailey who qualified as a Doctor last week. Hannah completed her studies at All Hallows College before studying Medicine at Newcastle University. Help with Uniform For families in receipt of Free School Meals or Cared for Children (during the last six years) there are the following allowances:-
Year 7 students from September 2013 will be allocated £250 towards the cost of purchasing the school uniform. Parents will receive a letter from the College in June with a voucher enclosed to take to Finesse Uniform Supplier. The voucher can be exchanged for the uniform. Parents will need to purchase before September to take advantage of this scheme.
Year 8 - 11 students in September 2013 will be allocated up to £100 towards the cost of replacement uniform. Parents should contact Mrs. Stirling in the Finance Office (01625 426138 or email staffas@allhallows.org.uk) for further information on how to access this allowance.

David Rutley MP on a visit to The College The BITE Faculty welcomed David Rutley MP on a visit to the College this week to talk to a range of enterprising Business students. David has shown a keen interest in The College's enterprise activities on several occasions throughout the year. The visit allowed him to explore in more detail a range of different enterprise projects including the youngest Year 7 students who have set up mini-enterprises and sold their products through Go Shop, Year 8 students who have set up a variety of very successful Young Cooperatives under The Go Shop brand, Key Stage 4 students who have demonstrated enterprise skills in working on a Business project based on the re-generation of Macclesfield and the oldest students in The College who in Year 12 organised The Time 2 Challenge Enterprise Competition for local community primary schools.

RESULTS MUST BE COLLECTED BY EACH STUDENT IN PERSON. IF STUDENTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO COLLECT THEIR OWN RESULTS, THEN THEY HAVE TWO OPTIONS: LEAVE A STAMPED ADDRESSED ENVELOPE WITH THE EXAMS OFFICE AND RESULTS WILL BE POSTED TO THE STUDENT. STUDENT WRITES A LETTER OF AUTHORITY TO GIVE A RESPONSIBLE ADULT PERMISSION TO COLLECT RESULTS ON THEIR BEHALF.
Attendance matters at All Hallows Over the last week of college attendance was as follows: Year 7 - 97.6% (up 1.3% on last week) Year 8 - 94.2% (up 0.5%) Year 9 - 96.4% (up 2.6%) Year 10 - 94.1% (down 0.1% on last week) The average for the week was up to 95.5% and the total since September has increased to 94.7%. WE AIM FOR 97%

Please can parents keep discussing attendance with their children? Please contact the college on the first 93.00% day of absence and keep us updated daily. Try to avoid whole day absence unless it is absolutely necessary 92.00% and remember the college day starts at 8.55 a.m with YEAR 7 YEAR 8 YEAR 9 YEAR 10 students with persistent poor punctuality risking being sanctioned. Requests for holiday absence should be directed towards Mrs Garvey (Key Stage 5) and Mr Blades (Key Stage 3 and 4) via letter or email in advance.
Advance Notice - End of Term Term finishes for students on Tuesday 23 July 2013 at 2.30pm. This will enable staff to gather to celebrate Mass with staff who are leaving us this year. The buses have been arranged to come 45 minutes early. Parents as Partners Students are welcome to bring clear containers into college for water and are encouraged to drink water at regular intervals throughout the day when it is hot. Water can be consumed in classes with the permission of a teacher where it is safe. We do not allow fizzy drinks or caffeine drinks at all. Other soft drinks are sold in the café, but these should be consumed in the cafe and not in lessons. We thank you for your support with this matter.
