College Prayer A Celtic Prayer adapted from St. Patrick's Breastplate, for the Fourth Sunday of Lent Christ, as a light… illumine and guide me. Christ, as a shield… overshadow me. Christ under me; Christ over me; Christ beside me on my left and my right. This day be within and without me, lowly and meek, yet all-powerful. Be in the heart of each to whom I speak; in the mouth of each who speaks unto me. This day be within and without me, lowly and meek, yet all-powerful. Christ as a light; Christ as a shield; Christ beside me on my left and my right. Prayer focus: for new member of the church Principals’ Surgery Parents / Carers are invited to attend a Principals' Surgery to discuss any concerns or ask questions, on the following date: Wednesday 14 March '18, 9am - 10am There is no appointment system so please be prepared to wait.
Parents As Partners ParentPay for Meals / Food in Café Bernard Please note tokens are no longer available from Finance to use for a meal or food in Café Bernard if there are no funds on a student’s account. In extreme cases there is a £5 overdraft facility which can only be used at the food tills in Café Bernard. For any student using this facility they will be advised at the till that they need to inform their parent / carer to put monies on their ParentPay account. It is important that the account be settled right away so that access to other College activities requiring payment can proceed. Once the £5 overdraft has been reached then the student will not be able to purchase a meal or food until funds are available in their ParentPay account. Finance Office Exam Season As the exam season is approaching with Year 10, 12 and 13 Mocks and preparation for A-Level and GCSE exams here is a tip to help your son/ daughter in their preparation: Break up their revision time into small chunks. Rather than having your child sit down to revise with no structure, ask them before each “session” what they are going to do in that hour/ afternoon. Get them to identify the bits they know and the bits they need to spend time on. They should know their aim for the session as well as briefly revisiting the notes they’ve previously gone through. Ask them to start each session with the hardest bit first so you get it over with first.
