COLLEGE PRAYER SPECIALISM SUCCESS
All Year 7 students enjoyed an enjoyable day off timetable this week working through a range of activities linked to investigating their 'dream job'. The day started with students looking back and producing a 'timeline' recording key moments in their lives from birth until the present. After this they spent time considering jobs in the past and present, thinking about changing trends in work and assessing future developments. With these two activities completed students were ready to think into their own futures and imagine working in their own 'dream job'. The job had to be real, but could be anything from an astronaut to an engineer to a musician. Students researched real job descriptions, produced a CV 'looking into the future' and then an extended piece of writing imagining 'a day in the life of' their dream job. A great day and a great way to get Year 7 students thinking seriously about their future possible careers!
Prayer for Candlemas All-powerful Father, Christ Your Son became man for us and was presented in the temple. May he free our hearts from sin and bring us into your presence. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit one God forever and ever. Amen. Prayer Focus: Peace on Earth CONSULTATION DAY

E-SAFETY SUPPORT
CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection) have launched a new website for Parents and Carers. This supports you in protecting your child/children from abuse online. The site provides advice for parents who are concerned about their children, as well as those just looking to learn more about what they can do to keep their children safe. Visit www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents for information about a range of topics such as social media for under 13's to taking 'selfies and vlogging'. PARENTS AS PARTNERS: COLLEGE COATS
A reminder to parents about coats. For years’ 7 to 9 it must be a College coat with a College emblem. And students, should in the cold wet weather, should wear them. For years 10—11 students must wear a dark coat. Parkers if any color, cannot be worn. PARENTS AS PARTNERS:CAR PARK
The College would like to express sincere gratitude to those parents who collect their children by car in the streets adjacent to the College. This is invaluable in helping the College to avoid grid lock on the bus turning circle at the end of the College day. We would ask the small number of parents who still collect from the turning circle to show their support along with other parents and pick up their children off site.
