All Hallows Catholic College Newsletter Christmas Term Friday 27 Nov 2015 COLLEGE PRAYER SPECIALISM SUCCESS
The Ensemble project is funded by the Department for Education. All Hallows plays a key role in this project in developing approaches to transition from primary to secondary school. We have secured funding to support schools in our teaching school alliance to observe lessons across the phases and teachers involved have been able to enhance their teaching as a result. We are also developing guidance to support teachers in KS3 in assessing without levels. The progression framework shows how children can make progress in their language skills, knowledge and understanding. The skills section includes all aspects of the National Curriculum programmes of study and where required, amplifies the description so it is appropriate to the age-related expectations for each year group.
Advent Prayer God of hope, As we await the coming of your Son, Jesus Christ, make us mindful of others and their needs, awaken our hearts to your message, and show us how to bring good news to everyone. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen. Prayer for: openness to the world of god

PARENTS AS PARTNERS — WHAT TO DO IF YOUR CHILD GET'S INTO TROUBLE ONLINE
No matter what protective measures you use on your computer systems, there's always the possibility that your child could do something that could put them at risk, such as sharing personal information, tweeting an inappropriate comment or writing comments on a social network that could be seen as cyber-bullying, even if they did not mean it. There are many organisations that can provide help and support if you find yourself in a situation around this issue. Links to all can be found on our college website, under Parents, Safeguarding and support, E Safety. We also have an email you can use to ask for further advice/support: esafety@allhallows.org.uk .
